I love early 911s, especially the short wheelbase version.  I bought my 1967 911S in 1979 (my third SWB following a 67 Normal and a 68 911S) and I modified it to be everything I believe a sports-purpose, early 911 should be: visceral, urgent and responsive.  It is lightweight and has a 2.3 liter twin-plug engine by Ed Mayo. I was born a hands-on mechanical engineer and after 25 years as a design engineer and later as a VP of engineering for a division of General Dynamics I started Performance Oriented to combine my technical experience with my passion for Porsche 911s.  The depth of technical and historical knowledge required to provide my services constantly stimulates me to deliver ever higher standards of quality.
